Multiverse is kind of a trending term in the present times. Earlier it used to be a concept that was limited to nerds of science and physicists only, but nowadays everybody knows about the word multiverse. That’s because the concept of multiverse is garnering a lot of interest in the world of cinema and literature. A lot of fiction books, movies and web series these days are being made around the concept of multiverse. And therefore it makes sense to know more about it.
In simple words, multiverse theory simply says that a lot of universes exist and ours is only one of them. We know that stars and planets are parts of galaxies, and we know that a lot and lots of galaxies exist in our universe. But the scientific community also believes that a lot of other universes also exists with their own set of planets, stars and galaxies. In fact, some scientists believe that these various universes may have different sets of laws of physics that determine the way the things happen inside them.
There are other fascinating theories as well. Some theories say that different universes got formed on a random basis and only few of them happen to be in the way where life can exist. So luckily ours is one universe like and there may be other universes with life or things totally different that we don’t know yet. Another fascinating theory talks about the existence of parallel universes. Parallel universes are like our own world but things happen differently in them. So there are people believing that another version of you exists in another universe who, unlike you, might have decided to not read this article.
But yet, even after all the hype, all of these are just theories as of now. There is no solid proof behind the existence of multiverse or parallel universes as of now.
