COVID-19, The Politics of Infection
The Coronavirus, or COVID-19, as it is officially known, is a threat which invisible to the naked eye, lethal, foreign, and evolving daily.
Here’s what we know
- The estimated fatality rate of 3.6 percent, SARs, was about 9.5 percent, or MERs, at 34 percent. However, we also know that this number is highly dependent on where you live and who you are.
- Cardiovascular disease, high blood sugar, and chronic respiratory disease, for example, all increase your risk of death significantly.
- The vast majority of those infected, approximately 80%, experience mild to moderate symptoms, most commonly fever, dry cough, and/or exhaustion.
- The incubation period is estimated to be between 1 and 14 days. If this is true, those infected may spread the virus, undetected, most likely by coughs and sneezes, although it can also be found\sin blood, stool, and tears, for one or even two weeks without knowing they have it.
The first cases of COVID were initially linked to a seafood market in Wuhan, in China. However, there’s little doubt that once its leadership was committed, China acted incredibly quickly, making decisions that would be layered with bureaucracy elsewhere. And seized the spotlight as an opportunity to demonstrate its political effect on the world.
However, China has attempted to distance itself from the outbreak, implying that it may have originated elsewhere.
And, Now the USA is on top and India is in the second position on the list of highly affected cases while China is now… in 95th position. It would be hard to say that China did it intentionally or not because by looking at the scenario it is clear that high-level politics is involved in this, from China to the United Nations. What do you think? Let me know.
