Are Interracial Relationships Justified?
Interracial marriage is a type of marriage in which the partners are of different races or ethnicities. This can also be understood as marriage between people from very different cultural backgrounds but typically it is understood as a marriage in which one partner is white and the other is black. This may sound normal in modern times, but surprisingly such a form of marriage was not accepted by society in general in olden times. Not much old though. Just until 1967, it was unlawful in the United States for couples of different racial backgrounds to marry. Attitudes of people have changed a lot over time, however there are some people who still claim that it is a stigma to marry someone who is not of their race.
Racism has existed in our society for a long time. People regard the white ones as the superior and the black ones as the inferior creation of God. But does God really make such a distinction? The answer is no. God has created everybody as equal and in the eyes of God we are all part of just one race, and that is humanity.
Back in time the feeling of racism was so strong in the society that the whites used to look at the blacks with contempt and did not like even to stay in their vicinity. However over time the mindset of people has changed a lot. The blacks and the whites live together in harmony and on par with each other in modern society. And particularly when it comes to love there are no boundaries. True love doesn’t care about the colour of one’s body or the culture from which one belongs. True love only needs a good heart and when two hearts like each other, no force in the world can separate them.
