Researchers Found A Centuries Old Skull Of Dragon Man!
Researchers discovered a new form of human skull that appears to be from a different species. Studies have revealed that the skull is more than 1.4 million year old. It is discovered in northern China and belongs to a recently discovered ancient human species known as Homo longi. Scientists have given it the nickname “Dragon Man.” They believe the skull belonged to a person who died between 146,000 and 296,000 years ago, when he was around 50 years old. Scientists also revealed that the “Dragon Man” most likely resided in wooded floodplain regions as part of a tiny village.
Three publications detailing the discovery were published in the journal named The Innovation. The researchers called the new subspecies Homo longi and nicknamed it “Dragon Man” after the Long Jiang area of northeast China, which means “Dragon River,” where the skull was found.
The skull is 23 cm long and around15 cm broad. It belonged to a man in his 50s with a large brain, deep-set eyes, high brow ridges, and a big nose, according to the experts. His face was large, yet he had flat, lower cheekbones, a huge mouth, and a missing lower jaw. The lack of a chin was also extrapolated from the Dragon Man’s upper jaw and other fossilized human skulls, according to the researchers. They also stated that its brain was around 7% bigger than the typical human brain. He resembled modern humans more than many other extinct branches of the human family tree because of all of his facial characteristics.
